The study of Wolf Cave is ongoing and rewriting the
history of habitation in the Nordic countries. During summers, when
research work is under way, visitors can hear more about the research
methods from the experts working in the cave. Visitors to Wolf Cave can
get an idea of the size of the cave at the opening, but safety
precautions prevent visitors from entering the cave. The opening of the
cave is covered in the winter to prevent damage.
A 500-meter-long marked trail leads to the cave from a
nearby parking lot. The area also has hiking trails through the
spectacular nature where signs of the Ice Age are evident. More
information about the area and Wolf Cave is available at the Wolf Cave
Tourist Center and the Wolf Cave exhibition.
